Marsala and the Florio Cellars

Easily accessible, thanks to the comfortable means of transport, Marsala is the largest Sicilian wine production center. The urban layout of the city respects the design of the Roman city, while the irregular road system derives from the Arabs who made it a rich and flourishing place.

Marsala is linked to the Cantine Florio. In 1833 the magnate Vincenzo Florio founded the homonymous cellars and the whole Marsala production area became a flourishing of beams with characteristic courtyards where the grapes were pressed for the production of Marsala.
To date, it is possible to visit the cellars, learn about their production process and taste their wine delicacies.
